plug worked properly. The price seemed great: 2 power strips for over $12. However, the design of this item is imperfect. The main plug on the back that plugs into the outlet is misaligned. When you plug an extension cord into the top openings, the offset design blocks access to the bottom outlet openings. If you connect an extension cord to the lower holes, you must choose between the upper holes of the extension cord and the upper holes of the outlet. You cannot use both. This 4-way expander (and other similar ones) effectively turns a normal 2-way output into a 4-way output, rather than the 5-way output one would originally expect.
