I bought this pump to replace the original pump on my 1995 GMC K1500 that had 22 years and 180,000 miles on it. Considering how painful it is to replace the pump (you either have to remove the bed or drop the tank. Neither is fun), I thought I'd order a quality replacement, and since ACDelco is supposedly the OE brand for GMC is, I figured I'd be perfectly happy if the replacement pump lasted as long as the original pump. God I was disappointed. do it yourself than make the bed) -- went very smoothly. I also replaced the tank feed unit with a new one from Dorman which was actually good quality. In any case, the ACDelco pump worked great when I put everything back together. And it looks like it took about 2 full tanks. or drive about 700 miles. Since I only use the truck on weekends and mostly in the city, it took about 6 months to use up two tanks of fuel. Then, to my surprise, one morning I just went to push the truck into the driveway and it didn't stop. don't start. The engine started fine but would not start. I made sure I had a spark. Then I noticed that I don't hear the pump when I turn the key to "on". So I checked and reset the fuel pump fuses and relay and even tried a new relay simply because it was only $3 at my local parts store. But none of that helped. I then hooked up the fuel pressure gauge and saw 0psi. Brilliant. The pump died after a mere 700 miles. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I expected much more from ACDelco.
