Clear plastic jar with graduations and recipes on the side. OK. The black plastic lid has a built in strainer, but the problem is that the top is held in place with small protrusions in the slots in the jar. I'll have to take a closer look to get it in place. There is a jigger (0.75 oz) that forms a plug in the filter opening. The cork must be securely fastened or it will leak. It's all just not as good as the simplicity of a Boston shaker.
- The strainer is attached to the shaker to prevent spilling of drinks. The jigger works like a measuring tool.
