The fan motor on my 2005 Rheem air conditioner has stopped working. After some searching I came across an engine here. My old fan had 3 wires and this new one had 5. The schematic that came with it wasn't very good and didn't explain how to wire it, but I eventually figured it out. I also had to reverse the bolts on the motor so I could install it properly. I bought this motor and a new capacitor as I was going to take the cage apart anyway. While everything looks fine, the fan revs up a bit to accelerate. More quickly. On the other hand, I have a 20 ton press that I used to remove the fan from the old engine. If you don't have a press I would look for a tool that will press the fan and order it with your new motor. That way you can be sure the job will get done and you don't have to wait a few more days or wait a week.
