, I had several coral colonies (Drive, Hammer) that would be difficult to fragment with a bone cutter. I got this tool in the hope that I could cut through the dense skeleton of some LPS colonies. I'm happy to report that it cuts effortlessly with the included diamond spinning blade. I've never used a tool like this before, but the guide was pretty good. Has many attachments that would be good for other types of projects. but I can't speak for it. The tool did not get hot. Just be sure to hold it tight when using it. Even at low power it packs a punch.
