There is a small trim pot right next to the bus that adjusts the voltage as needed. When delivered, my PS ran at 11.65 volts. It only took a few degrees clockwise to get it up to a stable 12 volts. It flexed a bit when I actually put screws in it, but it held up pretty well. The fan turned on fairly quickly and was fairly quiet. In most cases, I replace those nifty fans anyway. I don't have an oscilloscope at the moment so I can't verify claims about ripple and such, but I haven't had any signs of messy power supply issues. Worked for my project, good performance, ran cool, economical and quiet enough.
