Review on πŸ“ž CPR V10000 - Dual Mode Landline Phone Call Blocker for Supreme Protection: Equipped with 10,000 Pre-Loaded Robocall Scam Numbers, Easily Block 2,000 More with a Simple Touch by Jason Tinnen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Has worked great for the past few weeks

UPDATE - Downgraded to 3 stars due to some new factors. First, I've had the device for about a year and a half and have blocked 96 numbers. Most of them only call once or twice, some call again and get blocked 3-5 times, but except for the Sierra Club number which blocked the device 50+ times, the spammers just spoof different numbers. The UI is clunky and not intuitive imo. It would be better and less frustrating if pressing one of the list buttons like call, block or allow the UI didn't automatically switch back to the main interface after just a few seconds of inactivity. Also, through the device interface, you cannot see if any of the 10,000 spam numbers allegedly embedded in the device are blocked, and you cannot update these numbers since you do not need to enter any data into the device or connect it to the internet. INITIAL EVALUATION - My wife works from home and uses our Ooma VOIP line for business calls. Since she has to answer every call, she receives many calls from robots, scammers, shady charities, political calls, etc. She politely listens for a while and then asks to put the person on the do not call list, but that didn't happen. seemed to prevent her from calling back. CallBlocker was a revelation for her as all she had to do was press the red button and she cannot call back that particular number and they immediately hang up. She has only done this 5 times in two weeks but the number of unwanted calls she is receiving has also decreased significantly and I have to believe they are being blocked from the numbers already stored on the device. Support the spam caller and that was very nice, although it probably won't stop them from calling the fake number back.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions
