These are amazing baking bowls. To answer the first question someone might have, yes they are dishwasher safe. However, as a follow-up, it's important to note that they're not as significant as you might think (not that hard). It's not bad, just a note. Be aware of two things: the handles are mostly decorative, and they can easily break. In addition, the lid is rather small and can easily be lost. I'm not trying to stop you from thinking about it, I just want you to know what I need to take care of. So what's good about them? Actually several things. For one, it doesn't have an actual inner lip, making it easy to scrape off the baked cheese (while you're eating the soup) so you get all that crispy crust. In addition, they look very good, with no color errors and lids that fit well. Finally, and the reason I bought them, is because they have the highest capacity I've seen here at Revain. This is important because Trader Joe's Frozen French Onion Soup just about fits in (trust me, it doesn't seem to work at first glance). They may be a bit more expensive than they really should be (I paid $21), but if you really take care of them they will last, making them a worthwhile investment.
