These splitting shears are designed for tough use. and please be very careful when using it. This is NOT a children's toy. I bought these to cut up old jeans that I use to make "rag rugs". Denim wears a lot when cut with regular fabric scissors. Pink is the answer I was looking for. For a while I was at a loss as to how to reduce or eliminate the wear problem. then I happened to think of my dear old mother. and I could see her with my old, badly worn polishing scissors, which I thought stupid at the time because I didn't understand their purpose. this memory of her sewing revealed to me the solution to my problem! I have several different Fiskars cutting tools from secateurs to rotary cutters and now my scissors. The only time I was unhappy with any of them was when I couldn't find them. Despite having orange handles, for some reason they don't have audio visual location beacons! giggle
