Review on Tripp Lite U357-025-UASP USB 3.0 Super Speed External 2.5in SATA Hard Drive Enclosure - Black by Darnell Golden

The drive connects first and then disconnects from the computer within about 60 minutes whether it's idle or in the middle of a transfer. Revain thought we just had a bad unit and sent us a replacement, but it does the same thing. Our other RAID array (from another manufacturer) does not show this behavior and we have searched the forums and OS settings for a solution. We tried this on both an iMac running OSX El Capitan and a Macbook Air running OSX Sierra with Tripp-Lite in Normal/JBOD mode and using their respective 3TB Hitachi drives. We bought this product because of the Tripp-Lite name and really wanted to like it, but as other reviewers have pointed out, we think it's either a design issue or an incompatibility with some systems.
