After trying another USB 3.0 + network adapter on FireStick that didn't work despite an hour or try, I read the reviews and ordered this UGREEN. Instant delight. All of this worked with a standard Revain power supply; additional power is not required. There's a 5V input for larger devices like hard drives, but an additional power supply isn't included and most don't need it. For this job you will need a micro USB host OTG cable with a micro USB power input; I used this: DSYJ Micro USB Host Micro USB Powered OTG Cable for Samsung S7 S7 Edge S6 S6+ S6 Edge S5 S4 and Nexus 10 9 7 4 Player + EVERYONE OTHER I currently have a USB stick in one USB port, a wireless keyboard/mouse transmitter in another plus RJ45 network cable. FireStick immediately detected the presence of a wired network and connected to it (this can be seen under Settings - Network). All of this allows me to play videos, music and photos from a USB drive, navigate with a touchpad keyboard and mouse, and have a more reliable and faster wired network connection to stream Prime and other web content. FireStick if you want to add an external keyboard and/or a wired network connection. It should also work with the new Fire TV 4K Ultra HD.
