So, torn classic beauty, nostalgia, the end of the world, and it will still work. like

Who likes this? Aha. I'm old enough to remember the excitement of using the IBM Selectric.ie, a major upgrade from manual typewriters like this one. As good as they could type, electric versions always lacked the appeal and beauty of hand-held typewriters. The Royal has been around for years and this updated version of the classic has the same great looks and metal body. It's strong yet streamlined and looks fantastic. Who would be interested in buying this? Classic cars that used it years ago, movie props, decor types looking for something tactile, interesting, survivalists waiting for the end of the world as we know it, wanting to populate the world with their own unique ideas, and of course people. who doesn't know better. What I mean? While this is indeed a fully functional manual typewriter, remember that it requires no power and as such is basically the equivalent of driving a car without power steering. It's tiring. Not impossible, but no fun. Each key requires a strong but steady hit on the key so some letters don't look heavy and others look faded. Forget typing with even the smallest nails. Mistakes are almost fatal to the bottom line, and you can't type at night. In short, nostalgia quickly gave way to a reminder of why "electronic" typewriters were such a hit. And of course, the ever-expanding universe stopped being white once "word processors" entered the scene. Having said all that, I love it! It's small enough to be viewed while still being full-sized. Perfect for those seeking authentic nostalgic charm or who just want to avoid the electronic route for personal reflection. Whatever your reason, this is an absolutely adorable and charming addition. Hope to find suitable cartridges/other for it soon!
