I needed a solar panel to attach to a motor for a science project. The alligator clips that came with it didn't work at first. Hm? Maybe my motor is defective? No, the motor ran on battery - everything is fine. Maybe connections? There was a bunch of rubber on the back of the solar panel covering ALL the connections - I assume everything was meant to stay in place. The problem was I couldn't see through the footage to make sure everything was connected. We ended up scraping it (it took a while to get it done properly) and fitted my own alligator clips and they worked right away. The science project is complete and I was very grateful to have extra bits lying around because it didn't work right out of the box. But for the price and a bit of fiddling, it's still a decent deal.
