This is the second set we have bought! We bought the first set a few years ago and loved it so much we wanted to add more to make bigger moves and more lettered words. I would recommend buying other megablocks along with it! The more the better! We love mega blocks! They are very durable. The first set we got didn't crack or tarnish anything. My 3 year old daughter finds all sorts of ways to play with it. She puts her little dolls on the train and builds post towers on the train. But she too liked this set a few years ago when she was a toddler. It's great for all ages! And the battery in the music train from our first set is not empty yet!
