Works perfectly. good for marking tools

It definitely does the job of marking. I wish there was some way to protect the tip other than the very tight rubber hose that comes with it. Whenever I tighten the rubber guard, it's so tight that the whole tip comes out of the barrel, even though I used pliers to tighten it as far as I could. So I just need to keep it somewhere where it can't scratch anything important.
