The boy absolutely loves this and will wear it all the time because it's "super awesome". I got this particular model because it passes both ASTM and CPSC tests - some of this brand's models only pass the CPSC test, and ASTM has a better height of impact requirement on one of the tests (I read through both standards quickly) which I think is important (the two standards are otherwise very much similar). My presumption is that the manufacturer puts all of the standards on each unit that will pass them, so this model is one of their safer ones. Also, much kudos to the designers who figured out how to get kids to always wear their helmets.
