Suitable as a table lamp. For the money it's made from quality materials and well packaged, but if you look closely at the top do you see that transparent ring around the outer edge? I found this too bright and distracting for an enjoyable read. There are two bulbs and they are glaring so I had to wrap some soft tape around them (I used floral tape) to hide that part and then it didn't bother me. The other thing is that the clip itself isn't very deep and I would have liked it if it went down a page or if the clip was smaller because it felt quite flexible and chunky with this design. I would give her two stars but the truth is I like her for her looks but overall she doesn't suit me as a book light. I crochet so it works much better as a table light. If you're looking for a reading lamp that offers a comfortable, soft reading light without disturbing your partner in bed, then this isn't it.
