I was happy to receive them in the mail today. My son is 4 years old and has motor and hand strength problems, it helped him a lot to develop his cutting skills. However, I pulled one out of the box to see that it opens and closes slightly just for the connector to click. This is the first time I have bought adaptive scissors. Don't know if they have a thin piece of plastic connecting the handles - I was expecting something more durable. I still have a pair to use but to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The fact that the product breaks immediately after unpacking makes me doubt its durability.
