Review on πŸ”¨ PC Woody Petrifier with Hardening Properties by Alif Wills

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It would be perfect if you didn't have to wait 12 hours to sand it down but still a great product

This product is great for specific jobs with one caveat. It takes 12 hours (at 72F or so) to cure sufficiently to sand and 24 hours to fully cure (although you can paint it fully cured since it doesn't need to be vaporized). But if you're used to Bondo, which sets in minutes and therefore doesn't take any extra time for your work, PC Woody adds an extra full day. However, it breathes with the wood so it doesn't come loose like Bondo. And one more advantage over Bondo - it doesn't smell. And of course it also has a much longer duration. Because it's wetter than Bondo, it can also work in deeper crevices. Bondo is like working with bubble gum, so it's difficult to penetrate the deep void. PC Woody is more like cookie dough that spreads easily. All in all, this is something my tool shed is never complete without. To work properly, it couldn't be better. I used this to repair an old door jamb and it was excellent. The grout looks brand new and really dries harder than wood. But it is inconvenient that the work cannot be completed in one day.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
