NOT for 3/16 " brake line
For reference. The 3/16" hole is NOT serrated. It will NOT always be a single steel OR NiCop (nickel/copper) brake line. Double lighting is therefore impossible! According to Ridgid Technical Support, this tool is not intended for use with brake lines. They also told me they do NOT have a flare/double flare tool for 3/16" applications. That being said I have used this tool for 1/4" brake line applications, both steel and NiCop, with great success as the connector is notched! Ridgid Technical Support 1-800-474-3443
