Must have the best exhaust and emissions product
If you are using a Holley 4150 carburetor and 700r4 transmission this is a must as the lever on Holley carburetors does not the lock cable has the right place for this. On the 700r4, the detent controls line pressure (not the same as kickdown on the th350 and th400). Without this bracket, your 700r4 will fail sooner than it should due to low or excessive line pressure. Also, be sure to search the internet for information on how to properly set the latch.
