Review on πŸ”§ CATEYE H-34N FlexTight Bracket: Secure Mount for Headlights by Shane Palma

Failed after one use due to lost plastic screw

I ride about 75 miles a week with a day or two after dark. I bought this for a Cateye 1200 which inexplicably arrived without a mount. (I didn't want to bother with returning the Cateye so I just bought it as a replacement mount. I attached the mount to the bike and used it for an overnight ride. Then I removed the light and left the mount on the bike Week commute. After seven days of day riding I went to reattach the light to the bracket for night riding and found the screw was missing. I've had several bike lights over the years, never had a bracket failure like this "I had to go along drove 13 miles with this light and use my tiny daytime running lights to see. The mount is now unusable and I need to buy another one. So at my own expense I only drove 13 miles with this mount. I will try that next time out the bolt-on version. This is totally unacceptable for a bike light mount. My other bike light mounts have been fine for months . I've never had one from Kaza. I have used several other brands. Reliability is an important part of a bike light. rk at mile 14 shows a complete design failure. Update: I was able to remove the Cateye carry case and install it on the Cryolight mount. We'll see how it goes.
