Worked great until the lock nut vibrated

Design is simple and effective, works with several lightweight models. I'd give it a 1, only the locknut came loose and had time to fully unwind and fall off, so it's lost. Luckily this didn't happen when the (expensive) light was fitted. I had it tightened so this is a design flaw and support will not just replace that part.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Excellent replacement

In November I was in an accident, a woman hit me with a car. It crashed my bike and seriously scratched my VOLT1200 cat eye headlight and also broke the little round thing on the bracket. The whole mount was $7 only the hard one was $3 so I got the whole mount just in case there was something wrong with it. I love the products and the mount fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I switched to cat eye and liked it but it's too much to have.

I used to use cheaper lights so I could afford a separate light for each bike. Switched to Cateye and loved it but it's too much to have one for every bike. This allows me to quickly swap it out for the bike I'm using. Don't forget to cut off the end with a pair of strong scissors once it's tightened. Leave some slack so you can adjust if necessary. Also round off the cut edges, otherwise it's pretty sharp.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No power

Needed some work

Looks like a native flashlight mount but no problem as I was able to get it working. The problem I had was that the cat eye headlight model I needed was a very old model. The mounting plate for the lamp has two screws that prevent it from being fully inserted into the bracket. About 15 minutes with sandpaper and now the headlight sits securely on the bracket. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that I had to make some small modifications to the mount to use it with the headlight.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Works well but yes this lock nut

I bought this because the lock nut on my previous bracket was gone. I thought I did something wrong but reading other reviews I see I'm not alone. After playing around with a new one I can see that the nut is not very secure and will likely come loose without regular tightening. , yes it will serve you well, but be sure to do something "after the sale" to prevent the nut from working. Maybe wrap in duct tape? Too bad it's not possible to order a set of locknuts. :(

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Got extra for another bike works great.

I bought this add on to mount a second bike so I can move my amazing CatEye Volt 700 headlamp between it and my road bike. Put a neoprene washer behind the nut as it tends to vibrate if I don't tighten it firmly. I don't want to overstress the plastic, so using a shim holds it in place without putting too much stress on it. So the design isn't perfect in that regard, but it's easy to mount on the bike and the sliding bracket at the top that the light attaches to is secure and the light stays on

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great replacement good for sports

A few years ago my bike was stolen, the light clip was attached to the bike but the light itself was at my house so I didn't lose it. I recently bought a new bike and wanted to ride it a bit at night. Since I already had a CatEye flashlight, I looked around to see if there were any replacement brackets (so I didn't have to buy a new set). Deep and lo and behold, I came across this mount here on Amazon. The price is reasonable, not high but could be cheaper. It arrived quickly (I have a Prime)…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Failed after one use due to lost plastic screw

I ride about 75 miles a week with a day or two after dark. I bought this for a Cateye 1200 which inexplicably arrived without a mount. (I didn't want to bother with returning the Cateye so I just bought it as a replacement mount. I attached the mount to the bike and used it for an overnight ride. Then I removed the light and left the mount on the bike Week commute. After seven days of day riding I went to reattach the light to the bracket for night riding and found the screw was missing. I've…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
