Review on Efficient Kum Magnesium Alloy Pencil Sharpeners with Long Point Steel Blade and 1-Hole Design by Jessica Lewis

Nice but not perfect.

I really like this sharpener for some pencils but for others it is absolutely horrible and will break the point before it gets any sharper. I think it has to do with the texture of the wood and graphite. Some pencils sharpen almost effortlessly, while others require a thin, gentle caress from the mother and several long minutes and failed attempts before you can create what appears to be a writing tip. The worst part is that it really hates my favorite pens and makes them hard to sharpen while still working great with cheaper crappy pens that I don't really enjoy writing with. I'm pretty sure it's the long dot that ruins everything. I'll buy some regular Point versions and see if that solves the problem.

Pros
  • This pencil sharpener has a hardened steel blade with a hole and a long magnesium alloy tip
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
