Read some reviews where the left side is misaligned but didn't have this or any other problem; everything fell perfectly. There is a countersunk hole in the top that attaches to the fender mount on each side and can be filled with a flat washer that is removed with the factory top bolt. Four washers are included so you don't have to use those standard washers anywhere else, and using this washer as a spacer can help avoid scratching the chrome on the mating surfaces. They will be 100% functional (and I hope I never will find out) and look amazing, IMO.
