This item fits my new Mac mini M1 perfectly. The additional 2TB hard drive I bought fit perfectly in the allotted space and the device was easily connected to my Mac with the short cable that came with it. After turning on my computer, the hub came alive and the lights matched those on the Mac perfectly. A simple format disk command completed the setup and you were done. I like that the outer shell looks like it's made by Apple. All connections are located on the front and are easily accessible. The only downside is that the SD card slot has to be used upside down, but that's a flaw. Everything works as it should!
