Warning for people with lack of balance

I started taking Barre classes to help improve my balance and strength after a series of back and knee surgeries. I couldn't decide on half toe or full sock, but after reading the reviews, I decided to try the half toes because I liked the idea of keeping tactile contact with the floor (via toes). However, I am still a long way away from getting back in shape and regaining the balance I had before all my back issues. That said, I found that my lack of balance put stress on the sock in a way that the sock tended to pull back from my toes (towards my heels). That meant that the base of the toes basically created 4 VERY uncomfortable "toe wedgies" on each foot. It was so awful, I am planning on giving these socks away and getting the full foot ones instead. I have a feeling that if you have good balance, you will not have these issues, but not everyone is there and this review is for them.
