This item worked great on my 2006 Acura TSX. I have the original keyless alarm in my car but one of the two remotes that came with the car stopped working so I needed a replacement and this unit turned out to be a lot cheaper than the dealer part. The "official" Acura remote is also available from Revain and other online sites, but typically costs about twice that price. I was able to follow the programming instructions that came with this unit and program the remote in just a few minutes. . Now I have two working remotes again! Some reviewers noted that the remote was not properly powering their power seats. I only use 4 buttons on the remote (lock, unlock, trunk open and panic) and don't use the keyless storage feature that some cars have, so this wasn't a problem for me. This remote worked great for locking, unlocking, opening the trunk and raising the alarm when the panic button is pressed. That's all I need for this remote control and it does the job perfectly. I can't comment on the longevity of the remote as I've only had it for a short time. In terms of looks, the remote that I received looks exactly like the original remote that came with the car, except it doesn't say "ACURA" on the back. Some reviewers noted that the remote was not the same color as the original, but the remote I received was the same color as the original that came with the car. I am happy with my purchase so far. Time will tell if this device will last 12 years like the original did.
