Not a complete replacement for the 2005 Acura TL. The original must have 1 or 2 on the remote to control the memory seats. This remote will NOT control memory seats. The barrel release has a short range and takes forever to fire. You get what you pay for.

I bought this unit to have a second key fob for a recent car purchase. After searching the internet it was very easy to set up a 2005 Acura TL with a few button presses in the ignition. You can buy another one just to have on hand. Looks the same as the OEM with a lot less scratches and wear.

2 of which cannot be programmed. a yes But I would like a replacement. This is what it was bought for, replacement. When I contacted their supplier and asked how to program 2 of them the answer was "How do I know, I'm just selling them." And you won't get any instructions with that; but you can go to YouTube to watch the video if someone is stupid enough to buy it from this character.

The pairing instructions were clear (downloaded from their website) and it only took 2 tries to get it working. Went to the store and everything worked fine, doors lock. I left the store and this remote control doesn't work at all. After unloading the goods from the store, I tried again, but to no avail. An extra battery was inserted, does not work. Tried it with the original remote, everything works fine. Tried this and it was dead. There is no LED display.

The item works when programmed to my machine, but the problem lies in the 'keyless storage' feature. Apparently, this item cannot be programmed into the car system to change the keyless memory function. Read about it online and all I have to do is press "lock + unlock" to make it work. I tried. Nothing. I was so frustrated that I swapped out the case for an old remote control. The product also came with no instructions or receipt. very suspicious. I bought a used 2006 Acura TL and it didn't come with any remotes. I was looking for various keyless options/alarm systems like the Viper but didn't want to invest a lot of money on a used car. This item worked great on my 2006 Acura TSX. I have the original keyless alarm in my car but one of the two remotes that came with the car stopped working so I needed a replacement and this unit turned out to be a lot cheaper than the dealer part. The "official" Acura remote is also available from Revain and other online sites, but typically costs about twice that price.
