Review on 🚰 Brita Marina Black Water Filter Pitcher - BPA Free, 8 Cup Capacity with Standard Filter by Cynthia Broederdorf

I like the look of the jug and don't care if the lid doesn't stay on when pouring the water. The problem, however, is that the bottom of the jug is a separate part of the body. I mainly use this pitcher at work. I was on vacation for a week, came back and saw that the water is green. I poured out the water, hand washed the jug with hot water and still saw green algae. On closer inspection, the algae are in a crack in the junction of the two pieces. (see image). I brought it home, put it in the hot water washing machine and still couldn't get rid of the algae. :(
