Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑโœจ Magnetic Window Mount for iPhone, Samsung, HTC, LG, Nexus, Blu, GPS, and More - Mengo Magna-Snap Window Car Mount by Jamal Sandridge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've tried many phone mounts, this is my favorite.

Finally I have a good solution for mounting in the car. I've tried all sorts of mounts. Magnetic ones are better in my opinion. They hold the phone securely and are easy to use with one hand without much attention. I used to have the clip style but it requires attention to get the phone in and out and if the light just turns green it could be dangerous. Then, once you decide to go magnetic, there are even more options. CD slot, air vents and dashboard. I've been using the CD slot for a while, but sometimes it doesn't always fit snugly in the slot, deforms the foam in the slot hole, or places the phone in a way that blocks the view of the radio screen. Not perfect. Then I tried to ventilate. That's good because it's very portable, but the problem is that it's not secure. Almost every time I pick up my phone, it comes with an air vent mount. Very annoying. Also, it can block the needed airflow. Finally, this brings me to such dashboard mounts. Suction cup with glue for extra effect. In my experience, they don't work well on the dashboard itself. Whether it's because of the texture or the low height, they either won't stay in place or are too low and the charging cable gets in the way. I found the best spot on the windshield. This particular mount stayed on my windshield throughout the hot summer with no problems. What more can I ask for? One thing that makes this mount better than the Koomus Pro Dashboard-M is the longer arm. With Koomus I couldn't use it on the windshield because it was too short. This device has a longer mount and now I have no problem attaching my phone to it. I note that the ball head is removable. So if you have a different brand of magnetic mount, you can replace it if you wish. This is the standard ball mount used in GPS devices and other mounts. Edit (January 2019): Two years later, the thing is still stuck to my windshield. I even moved it to a new car! I am very impressed.
