We installed it about two months ago. Easy installation if you're a little crafty (not everyone is comfortable cutting through their doors). It took a while for the cats to get used to it. Had it wide open the first week then we had a week where we let it but let cats through a couple of times a day and one day they both just started using it. We removed the magnet from the door as the resistance of the door being pressed lightly initially prevented my cat from entering. Liked the lock feature. I had people working on the electrical box in the basement and loved that I could lock the cat door and not have to worry about the workers opening the outside door. Although my cat has repeatedly tried to come by. Will close door if locked in future to try to avoid this problem. However, the small locks on the door held despite my cat's insistence. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a cat door. I don't know if I would trust it as an outside door, but between the basement and the ground floor it's perfect.
