This product lost a star because I can't get Ethernet speeds over 350Mbps with it, while I can get read and write speeds over 950Mbps with my other adapters (I have Google Fiber ). However, if you don't have Google Fiber, this product is fast enough for your needs and the most reliable USB 3.0 Ethernet adapter I've tested. Many USB 3.0 Ethernet adapters require special drivers, and if the connection is lost you will need to restart your computer before reconnecting. My experience with this SIIG adapter has been great - as you'd expect, it's really hot plug and play. And for most people, 350 megabits per second is more than enough. :) I use this as an alternative to my Apple Thunderbolt adapter in environments where I want to run two monitors at once and don't need full gigabit internet speeds. I'm using this on a 2015 15" Macbook Pro Retina.
