I have been using this product for some time, it is very good, but you must take into account that the instructions on the bottle do not start your tank in 7 days. Stability can be used in conjunction with Seachem Prime Water Conditioner and water changes. You must dose both daily while fishing in your tank. The formula I used is as follows. If you have less than 1ppm Ammonia or Nitrite - dose Stability and Prime, wait 24 hours and check again. If you have more than 1 ppm ammonia or nitrite, change at least 50% of the water, sometimes 75% is best depending on how high your ammonia and nitrite levels are. Then add Stability and Prime. The key to enlivening your aquarium and keeping your fish healthy is to keep ammonia and nitrite levels below 1ppm with Prime Water Conditioner as it binds them into non-toxic forms within 24 hours. It also allows your growing bacterial bed to have something to eat. I am currently running an oranda goldfish in a 20 gallon aquarium. They're big waste producers, so I usually double my base dose and quadruple the stability dose just to be on the safe side. Revain has the best price for 500ml bottles by far!
