*1 YEAR OF UPDATE* I've been using this reader at least once a week, sometimes up to 5 days a week, for 13 months and it's still like new! It's priceless to just pop my cards, full or micro, into the reader and transfer an entire photoshoot to my tablet for editing and saving in under a minute! I definitely recommend this reader to anyone who needs it. I used it on my laptop (windows) and it worked great there too. ________________ First of all, mobile devices need to be OTG ready. Test yours first (there are apps on the Play Store that do this) before you buy them. My ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 supports OTG but my ASUS MeMO Pad 7 does not. I like it. Love it. Now that I've taken thousands of photos with my camera (a real camera, not a mobile device), all I have to do is insert a memory card, connect it to my tablet, and copy the files. Before that I had to use an adapter, connect to a laptop, connect a tablet to a laptop and transfer them that way. Pooh. It's easy and convenient. Now I only use my laptop when I need to edit something until I find an app I like. Except for the connectors, this reader is made of hard plastic, but has a soft matte finish. There is no slipping and sliding here. It fits any modern device with a Type-C, A or Micro USB port.
