Replaces High Cost Antenna Analyzers and Performs Much Better

I have two expensive Antenna Analyzers in the shack, costing > $300. They work well, but cannot do as well as the Nano-VNA. It is a treasure for anyone wanting to work with antennas. There is free downloadable software to run on a PC, which makes measurements from the ham-shack a delight. It is VERY accurate, easy to calibrate and quite easy to use. The menu is quite nested and takes some getting used to. It is easier to use from a PC.I have used it to carefully measure the following with excellent results:8 Element 70cm yagi5 Element 2m yagi5 Element 6m LFA yagi2/70cm X-200 Collinear.Multi-band 80m OCF for 80=10 meters160m home brew Inverted LTuning the above antennas was quite easy with the Nano-VNA and results were reproducible. Being able to write results to a file (PC), made exchanging data with others and having a permanent record of the VSWR is quite useful. If used for nothing other than SWR and Impedance matching it is one of the best investments I've ever made for the ham shack.I have also used it to measure dual and tri-band duplexers for port isolation by band and it confirmed manufacturer's specifications. It is also good for measuring insertion loss of filters.Overall, I could not be more pleased. Highly recommened.BE VERY CAREFUL PURCHASING Nano-VNAs !There are LOTS of Fakes and Clones out there that are absolute JUNK. Do your research. Buy from a reputable seller. Caveat Emptor was never more appropriate advice. The complaints of cheap, inoperative, bait and switch units are LEGION among the nano-VNA community. Consult the user community BEFORE you buy. (Google for user groups, ask them) Don't ask me where to buy, I asked them.73, N0AN

Pros
  • Wide Frequency Range: With a frequency range of 50KHz to 3000MHz, this analyzer is capable of measuring a wide range of signals from high-frequency to very low-frequency
Cons
  • Some parts of the device are fragile, and can be damaged easily if not handled carefully
