Review on Sakura Cray-Pas Junior Artist Oil Pastels - Set of 25, Assorted Colors by Jennifer Roberts

Amazing price for great quality/art material. Usually art materials are EXPENSIVE. I'm an art student. As a student, I spent my clippings on art supplies. These were the cheapest I've ever paid for and you get so much! I ordered a set of 50 pieces. I wanted to order my dad's original brand which I saw at home and used as a kid. Unfortunately I couldn't find this box when I got home for Thanksgiving. On Sunday evening I drove back to school and the next morning I had classes. I finished painting that morning and knew I had to start painting in the next class, which was Wednesday. I was able to get them for next day delivery (orders placed on Monday during class, arrived on Tuesday). FYI: I looked at a few sites of oil pastels and this was my final choice for the following reasons: 1. Low cost but good quality; 2. Labeled as "Revane's Choice"; 3. Most importantly, it can deliver next day, which is not expensive at all. Most other sellers do not offer this option. As a distraction, most online stores that say "next day delivery" charge tons of dollars. The next day it was just a few extra dollars. I wish they were a little bigger because after a day of use on a very large drawing almost half of a black stick is gone. The plus is that they offer 2 blacks and 2 whites! I'm deducting 2 stars from this rating because if you don't wrap the box with a tight rubber band, the lid will come off and you'll find spilled oil pastels in your backpack. I knew I had to have a rubber band as I tucked it vertically into my backpack, but I didn't have an extra one. I'm usually very careful (I use ziplock bags and rubber bands for everything - pastel boxes, markers, pencils). I thought it would be ok if it was a 10 minute walk before class. It wasn't until I went to rearrange my backpack during class that I forgot and the thing spilled out. Luckily I saw it right after the accident and they didn't touch my backpack, they were still wedged between the bottom of the box and its lid. I managed to connect the two pieces together and lift everything up in one fell swoop.
