So having had a 1 inch master cylinder in my truck for the past 8+ years I was fed up with the hard pedal. Upgrading to a larger diameter is just stupid without larger calipers and a heavier booster, so I decided to go back to a standard size master cylinder for my truck and make it easier for my wife to stop. I "upgraded" to a 1" Master after converting to straight axle and installing the 35 on my 87 Xtra cab as recommended by Trail Gear and All Pro Offroad to add a little more fluidity to the get brakes. So I spent over an hour removing the old Master, installing this and bleeding the system 3 times and I couldn't get rid of the sponge pedal. The 3rd time the pedal went straight to the floor! I purchased this unit through RockAuto and returning it was easy enough, but I ran out of a quart of brake fluid and need to redo it with another 'new' part. Let's hope the Aisin part does better than this one. I may have just gotten a bad part, but I don't think I would risk something as important as the brakes on my converted Raybestos truck again!
