Let's see how they work.

I have a 2003 HD FLHTCUI. I bought two of these 7" antennas to replace two aftermarket 12" antennas that I have owned for a while. There was nothing wrong with the 12" other than putting on a beanie when I was traveling. So far I haven't had any issues with the installation. That means I showed an open thread and didn't tighten it all the way. Mine fit very good and I like the way they look. So far the AM/FM and weather band are doing quite well. As for CB, I can't tell yet. There isn't much CB traffic here at my house. in Sticks. I'll check later. I use CB when I make "long" trips just to check for traffic problems on the freeways. Thanks to information from truckers. I can usually dance around all problems. I don't get happy be when taking CB is rubbish and I need to find out the hard way.I also use a SiriusXM Onyx steering wheel mounted unit and it works well too.Although it's a different antenna it still uses the VHF Band on the radio.i am confused about the information provided by the manufacturer or retailer. They don't show a 7 inch antenna. They show 6 inch and larger antennas. But no 7 inch antennas. I was also expecting to see some markings on the antennas to indicate the difference between them. I looked for one marked AM/FM and the other marked CB. No markings. Both antennas seem the same to me. My other antennas were clearly marked. I flipped the antennas to see if there would be a difference in reception. I can't see or hear anything right now I guess time will tell I'm out of money, but at around $20 for two antennas I'm taking a chance. I hope they work well and if you decide to buy them I hope they work for you too.
