Exactly what I needed, no more fumbling with spade lugs

My first thoughts are that they're about as good as I hoped, but that can change over time, we just have to see is with the micro usb tips. If you pull the cable straight back, the tip comes out with it, and I think I know why. Most Micro USBs have 2 small ridges to secure the cable in the connector and can usually be seen with a fingertip. With these tips, as long as there is a burr, I can just feel it with the tip of my fingernail. For this reason I have to remember not to disconnect the cable in this way. That being said, I would have thought the iOS and/or the Type-C lugs would stretch a bit if pulled straight back. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. As an iOS tip, I use it on an iPhone 6s Plus with an Otterbox Defender case. But even without a case, the tip stays in place when pulled straight open. The tip is slightly thicker than the phone outside the case. Phone thickness 7.40mm, tip size 7.96mm. With a phone in a case, you can't cover the charging port with a flip cover, which is to be expected, but since the tip "covers" the port, that cover is no longer a big deal. One note here is that my case is not ideal. A while ago one of the attachment points broke which is why the tip goes in so easily. This bothered me, and I've never seen anything that would show the dimensions of the lugs and cable (excluding the length of the cable). I also use the micro USB tip on a 2013 Nexus 7 which is 8.42mm thick by the way. and it's in a fairly basic silicone case with a wide-open opening for the charging port. The top has nothing to bother with. Finally, use a Mirco USB tip and a Type-C tip on two different Bluetooth headphones. Tip dimensions: Micro USB: diameter 8.05 mm. iOS: Diameter 7.96mm. Type-C: 8.05mm in diameter but the widest part is 9.66mm. The magnetic head of the cable is 8mm in diameter measured on the magnet itself. The tips and removal tool are supplied in a small plastic storage case. The removal tool is great for micro USB tips. It doesn't work with Type-C on headphones either. With the iOS tip, it's impossible to use the phone in the case, but it's ok when the phone is alone.

Pros
  • cables and connections
Cons
  • boring packaging
