Purpose for purchasing this unit: The Harman Kardan Go+Play is a great speaker set that became useless when stylish outside of the iPhone dock has been upgraded. Purchasing this device will allow you to use your speakers wirelessly from any Bluetooth source. Pros: - Adds new (and wireless!) life to Harman Kardon Go + Play speakers - Easy setup: connect, pair in your phone's Bluetooth menu, play music. - Good range (fine at 20ft and through an interior wall - good enough for me) - Small size means it fits into any 30 pin dock (see logo *seems* not to be present in my photo). me): - Internal battery and 3.5mm audio jack means it can be used as a Bluetooth adapter for almost any speaker (needs to be charged via dock or dock cable) Cons: - Well packaged but not in the Box wrapped - hence micro scratches Cover the top of the front of the unit (see second photo) - Portable bluetooth speakers are available in the same range as the $26 I paid. For that, DockLinQ and other bluetooth audio adapters (like the special one I bought to use with my car stereo) are much cheaper. The docking station option seems overpriced. Rating: - Price and cosmetic condition upon delivery make this product 3* for me. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't cost more than $26. However, it's a great fix to get that speaker up and running again. *I'm so pleased with the result* (if not the product itself) that I'm increasing my rating to 4*. This device arrived on January 11, 2019 and has played 2 music albums flawlessly to date. If this performance ever changes in the future I will definitely be back to update my review.
