All other items list the main airflow (MAF) sensor when looking for an air intake duct which greatly increases the cost of this repair. My favorite mechanic wanted to charge $100 for the part while the dealership charged $350 for parts and labor. The real problem with these cars is that the hose on the MAF outlet side will break due to age, wear and movement of the engine in the engine bay. The MAF is usually still fully functional and does not need to be replaced. Installation took less than an hour including setting up and cleaning my tools. Removing the old one was a bit more difficult than putting the new one in.
