The box it came in had a big label saying MADE IN CHINA. There are NO labels on the outside of the cable to identify the cable type. It's extremely stiff and stays where you bend it, I doubt its conductors are solid copper rather than copper-plated steel. Another sign that these are NOT HARD COPPER conductors is that the DC resistance is too high and if you move the leads while measuring the resistance the readings will jump all over the place indicating that the solder joints are very are bad. This cable is unsuitable for electrical purposes in my opinion, but should have excellent tinsel resistance if used as a rope. I want to return this item.
