I bought other files that weren't rough enough for my alligator feet. This one is almost correct - I wouldn't mind if it was a little rougher - but it's the best I've found. But nothing for sensitive feet. My only criticism of the length is that it's about a foot long (no pun intended), a tad big for the drawer I intended to keep it in. Documents are inserted; I rinse it under water to clean it - probably not recommended but it works and didn't seem to hurt.
