I have used two other stands before coming to this one - it has all the benefits of my previous two and is compact and portable. It has more tilt range than my other two options, is solid, and feels flexible enough to work with both a full-size 15-inch Dell PC and a smaller 12-inch MacBook. I've used many laptop/external monitor setups over a decade and this setup has proven to be one of the most efficient. using a laptop as one of my two screens, putting the camera at eye level in all the video conferencing we do these days, and being able to use a much better external keyboard—all in a minimal desktop footprint. The stand extends almost vertically - in fact, only my laptop can be opened wide enough (about 170 degrees) to utilize the fully extended stand. The Mac laptop is limited to about 120 degrees opening. Notice in my photo that this laptop stand is almost invisible (as it should be) - nice and clean. The two small edges stick out just enough to hold my phone and Airpod case.
