I like this collar. I have a Jack Russell Terrier and we all know how happy they can be. he barked at everything and everyone. Don't get me wrong he's very friendly but if you're new to my house he'll --- yap yap yap don't even say shut up because he looks at you and then yap yap yap. lol when i got this i put it around my neck and it was at the lowest shock level when my friend came over and started barking. well up a notch! still barking. another level. At that moment he realized something was wrong. his barking was intermittent. so he continued. then I took it up a notch. then he went mad and started barking. he was unconscious and silence until the end of the day! I've let people in and out of the house watching a movie with the volume turned down to 50 because he's been sitting by the window all day barking at the neighborhood kids running around. it was only 1 day on then i snuck in, turned off the shock and set the vibration to high and the horn to high. That night he went to bed and the next day he was dead quiet lol. and the shock was gone, it's been about 2 months, i didn't have a collar and it still vibrates when it barks a bit, the buzzer goes off and the vibration goes off and it feels like it can't shock anything . Mind you, during the day I take the collar off and let him be himself. I only put it on late in the day and at night when I need to take a nap or when it's late and I don't want it barking and disturbing the neighbor or me while I'm sleeping, but during the day it can bark whatever it wants , when I film him at 7am. Even if I take it off, it doesn't even bark unnecessarily. Very good product for training your dog! I don't recommend you wear it all day, only use it as needed when you need some rest but don't abuse your dog, let him be what he is, let him bark if he wants to Possibility to be at home in silence at a certain time. I reward him with treats when he's quiet, I let him know when I put the collar on that he's a good boy! and when I put the collar on he gets a treat and when I take it off he gets a treat and if we sit without the collar and he's still silent he gets a treat in return so he associates his treats with a good mood.
