Good Not great

The wood fittings on our bathroom and kitchen cabinets were damaged and ugly. I wanted a cheap and easy solution, but I knew painting it wouldn't be ideal as it would be clumpy and not an easy-to-clean surface. So this self-adhesive vinyl roll was the right choice. It's nice and thin so it can be applied over it. It was very easy to trim to fit with a utility knife - I cut to 3.5" thickness and removed the beveled edge as there was no glue on that edge and I still didn't like it. Application was as easy as it gets: I applied it to a driven nail first so it looked smooth enough but created waves so I could peel off the vinyl, remove the nail, and then stick it on. back without damaging it. So it's nice that it's somewhat forgiving if you make a mistake. My only complaint is that it doesn't produce the straightest edge possible. If your wall is a little rough, it will be a little wavy, so you can't get super compulsive with this product. Pros: - good price - easy to assemble - easy to cut with a precision knife - can be removed and reapplied if you make a mistake (tacky glue) - smooth surface that's easy to clean - thin so it stands out over the previous one Kickboard Disadvantages: - Adhesive is applied unevenly and does not reach the edges - Creates a ripple effect when covering an uneven surface. In summary, this is a cheap simple solution. Not perfect but I'm satisfied because it's better than before, looks clean and slick and does exactly what I need it for.
