If you have one of the "Premium" options for your 2002 Jeep Liberty such as power windows, sunroof or sound system, you have the connector and wiring already installed for the external temperature sensor. Unless, like me, you had a sunroof and a dedicated trip computer package, you had no reason to buy one. until you bought your EVIC/OTIS device from a site that rhymes with Pee Bay (let's face it, the retail price of nearly $500 is outrageous). It fits perfectly into the existing connection. I had to close it to keep it in place, but that's a minor issue. My EVIC is now fully functional with built-in temperature sensor.
