I have had Chi, Amika and PYT irons - they are NOT cheap and this iron blows everything else out of the water. For a little over $200 we got a 1" iron and a 1 3/4" iron. The small straightener is great for curls and flips, while the large straightener straightens AND silkens my daughter's waist-length thick hair in under 10 minutes. Use it with hair straightener spray and you will love it. It's good. Don't waste money on others.
