A great choice for a versatile lens that can stay on camera. It focuses quickly and takes good pictures. I would suggest a 4x or even 8x ND filter for daytime shots where shallow depth of field is required. I prefer the versatility of a zoom lens when shooting during the day. But when the light gets low and indoors, this little lens has you covered. This is a gem. At $449.00 I think it's about $100.00 overpriced, but the price is determined by supply and demand, not the cost of production. And there are R&D costs that need to be recouped. But I think the price is reasonable and I would buy it again. What I don't like is that Olympus decided to let the customer down by dropping the lens hood and then charging an insane price for such an accessory ($63 for a small lens hood as of April 28, 2013). Olympus does it because the market allows it. So when shopping for a lens hood, look for alternatives. The lens is made in China, so I suspect a lens hood (even a plastic one) won't add more than a dollar or two to the cost of production.
